Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

You might me thinking “I thought Samsung already released something called the Galaxy Tab” and that was my thought also.  In fact we discussed the Galaxy Tab already.  This time Samsung had something a bit, um, bigger in mind. If you remember, the Galaxy Tab was 7 inches; small enough to fit in a pocket.  The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is closer to the size of an iPad (9.7 inches) coming in at, you guessed it, 10.1 inches.

There is more different about the new Galaxy Tab 10.1 other than just the size.  In fact you might say there were different goals in mind altogether.  While the original Galaxy Tab is the ultimate in portable entertainment, the new Galaxy Tab 10.1 is the “ultimate entertainer.”  Sure enough, the sheer screen size makes watching HD media content a real joy.  It’s also kicking dual suround sound speakers, a 1 GHz dual-core processor and Android 3.0 Honeycomb to round out the whole multi-media consumption experience.

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 also does 4G, WiFi, GPS navigation, and all sorts of Google stuff.  The cameras it sports are an 8 MP back-facing camera and a 2 MP front-facing camera.  Yes, it does record video in HD, as it should.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, the super-sized cousin to the beloved Galaxy Tab, turns out to be one that ought to stand out with it’s own name, don’t you think?  Less portability but more beef makes for quite the different experience, in a good way.
