Each maker of tablet devices seem to put their own innovations into the tablet space and now HTC is making its way into the game with the HTC Flyer.  It may be missing dual-core computing and any specific distiquishings on the outside, but what it does offer certainly sets it aside from the others.  Let’s take a closer look.

The HTC Flyer is in the 7 inch category making it very portable but with enough viewing surface to make multimedia consumption a joy.  This will make watching movies, browsing the web and playing games (OnLive cloud gaming anyone?) light and easy and quite enjoyable at the same time.

The HTC Flyer is also the first tablet to come with the new movie service HTC Watch.  Apparently you can watch a wide variety of latest released Hollywood movies.  How’s this stack up against Hulu or Netflix?  Not sure, but it sounds very promising, and with the Flyer’s 7 inches of viewing and dual speaker virtual surround sound, movies ought to me natural to the Flyer experience.

HTC is not just innovating in the entertainment department.  For instance, check out the details of their HTC Scribe technology (HTC Watch and HTC Scribe covered in this press release).  You can do all sorts of things when a stylus is brought onto the scene.

You can do stuff like take screen shots and annotate them easily, take notes while recording audio during a meeting (and easily jump to a place in time by tapping a word (Timemark technology).

Is the HTC Flyer for you?  With great innovations in both work and play it just may be!
